Disney Channel is not ready to let the Descendants franchise come to an end.
The first teaser aired during the premiere of ZOMBIES on Friday night, and it confirmed a third movie has been ordered for Summer 2019.

Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart and Anne McClain are all slated to appear in the sequel.
The first Descendants movie bowed on Disney Channel back in 2015 and was a roaring success. It amassed 6.6 million viewers on its premiere night.
The second movie debuted last summer and secured just under 9 million viewers across six networks on its premiere night.
It makes sense that the network would want to continue the franchise with a new installment given the ratings.
