'Supergirl' Needs More of the Friendship Between Sam and Alex

Supergirl has always had an interest in portraying positive female relationships. The sisterly dynamic between Kara and Alex is more important to Supergirl's success than any romance that the series manages to trot out into the spotlight. Yet even with the usual focus on female friendships, Supergirl season 3 has been particularly concerned with female bonds with the arrival of Reign and the official formation of Lena, Alex, Sam and Kara as a friendship unit.
