Metropolis: Superman Prequel Ordered to Series!

Ever wanted to know what life was like in Metropolis before the arrival of Superman?

If so, then we have news that will be music to your ears.

DC's new streaming service has handed out an order for the series for Metropolis.

With Superman is out of the picture, who will it focus on?

You're going to want to sit down for this one.

It will follow Superman's future significant other, Lois Lane and his future villain, Lex Luthor!

Interestingly, it sounds like the two characters will be working together to expose the evil underbelly of the city.

Lois and Lex could well be a dynamic duo, but the real test for this show will be the casting.

Given that we have yet to see anything from the new streaming platform in action, it's difficult to know what to expect.

The series has been handed a 13 episode order and will launch at some point in 2019.

The good news is that it has John Stephens and Danny Cannon working on it.

Both men have worked on Fox's Gotham for the last few years, so there's every reason to believe the show could emerge as a worthy entry to the Superman universe.

Metropolis is not the only Superman prequel in the works. Syfy channel will launch Krypton later this year and it takes place before the Man of Steel was sent to Earth.

It centers on Superman's grandfather and boasts a cast that includes the likes of Cameron Cuffe Georgina Campbell Ian McElhinney.

Like reboots, the superhero shows are coming fast and furious out of Hollywood of late.

Hawk and Dove on Titans

This represents the second live-action series announced for the new DC streaming service.

Titans is scheduled to premiere later this year.

What do you think of this new series order?
