Eva Marcille seems like she is playing for keeps on Real Housewives Of Atlanta. She made quite the first impression on this week’s episode when she immediately outed Cynthia Bailey‘s new man as a cheater. Gee, I’m sure that was accidental. Despite all this, Eva insists she came in peace, with plans to unify the cast instead of further dividing them. Mmm Hmmm.
“I look at this whole world through a different prism because I’m more of like, ‘Hey guys, let’s all get along. Let’s see how we can all make this thing work’ versus them thinking, ‘I’m on an island all by myself and I’m my own person’ type thing,” explains Eva.
Eva swears her goal is a benevolent one: to empower women through togetherness. Um, let’s revisit her perspective once she survives her first reunion. “We should have each other’s backs and root for each other,” she declares. “So I definitely come with a different idea of what this sisterhood should be. Which, I mean, don’t we all need a little bit of harmony?”
On that note, Eva claims both she and reality TV have changed since her days on America’s Next Top Model. Eva is also now engaged to Michael Sterling, and they’re expecting a son. “That’s my reality,” she tells People.
Eva may say she’s not about the messiness but it certainly didn’t look that way in her debut episode. Describing the situation she instigated between Cynthia and Will as “beyond awkward,” Eva maintains, “Never did I intend to cause any kind of drama between them.”
“I honestly expected Will to be truthful about the young lady he introduced me to and tell us all that he had moved on,” Eva adds. “At no point did I expect that Will would act as if none of this happened. The denial of the incident is what makes this all so messy.” True – I would’ve expected him to just claim he dumped the woman when he realized how much he liked Cynthia. Simple as that – he dug his own grave with this obfuscating.
I don’t know if we should accept Eva’s perspective as sane, though. Especially based on her first impressions of the other women. “I think the ladies are all pretty sweet,” she says in her Bravo blog. “They all seem rather easygoing.”
Girl, again, let’s chat in a few months.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK EVA WAS TRYING TO BE MESSY BY MEDDLING IN CYNTHIA’S RELATIONSHIP OR WAS SHE JUST TRYING TO HELP A SISTER OUT?
