Even though the Black Hood plot ended up being a misfire on most cylinders, Riverdale season 2 has been bigger and better for most of the characters. The increased episode count and the strong basis set up by the first season has allowed almost all of the cast to evolve in season 2. There is one very notable exception.
In Riverdale season 1, Jughead Jones was everyone's favorite character. The longer season 2 goes on, the more that changes. Jughead is morphing but unlike the rest of the cast it's not for the better. Jughead has gone from one of the highlights of Riverdale to its most aggravating lowlight.
