Fuller House Creator Jeff Franklin Fired After Allegations of Misconduct

Netflix may have renewed Fuller House for Season 4, but the new season will enter production without the creative input of the series creator.

According to Variety, Jeff Franklin will not return to the series as showrunner.

Jeff Franklin, Fuller House creator

Per the report, Warner Bros. TV decided against renewing its deal with the Franklin, who has served as showrunner since the show's inception back in 2016.

“We are not renewing Jeff Franklin’s production deal, and he will no longer be working on ‘Fuller House,'” the firm confirmed in a statement to Variety.

Netflix has confirmed the show will still go back into production, saying: "‘Fuller House’ will return for a fourth season, as planned. We hope to go into production in the next few months.”

Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber

Franklin has not been accused of inappropriate sexual conduct by any members of the team, but workers on the show have opened up about Franklin making sexual comments about his own personal life in the writer's room.

In addition to that, he allegedly brought one women he was in a relationship with to the show. As if that was not unprofessional enough, he even offered to get the women roles on the show.

The issue was brought to Warner Bros. TV by writers and staffers who work on the show, and the firm conducted a full investigation before deciding it was best Jeff was relieved of his duties on the series.

Fuller House Trio

Fuller House launched back in 2016 as a sequel series to the wildly successful ABC series, Full House, which aired from 1987 to 1995.

While it's failed to garner the acclaim the original series had, it has been a success for Netflix.

Carpenter has been added to the cast as CIA operations deputy Erica Wolfe, who is an intelligent codebreaker who finds herself thrust into the world of counterintelligence.

iZombie Promo: Driving Ms. Liv!

Liv is effortlessly jumping back into the brain business.

The only difference now is that, as we saw on iZombie Season 4 Episode 1, everyone is perfectly aware of the fact that Liv is channeling personalities from the human brains she consumes.

On iZombie Season 4 Episode 2, Liv will take on the brain of a snobby older woman who has rubbed many people the wrong way.

She's rich, snooty, and she has a staff list that is a mile long. We can probably guess who the first suspects will be!

Clive has done a spectacular job at putting up with Liv and her various personalities, but this one may irritate him more than usual.

Hell, she slipped into the backseat of his car, and she fully expects him to cart her around like he's Morgan Freeman in Driving Ms. Daisy. It's not going to happen, Liv!

It's business as usual with the case of the week and this dynamic duo of crime-solvers including Ravi and some of his special gadgets, but what we can't forget, is that Seattle has descended into chaos around them.

There isn't a single hint in the promo as to what Angus' escape will mean for Blaine and Chase.

We also don't know whether or not Major can successfully train his new, young zombie soldiers.

Liv may have caught word of his new responsibility though because Major and Liv will find themselves on opposing ends of an issue. It undoubtedly has to do with Chase.

If you missed the season 4 premiere, you can watch iZombie online here via TV Fanatic. Also, make sure to check out our iZombie reviews and our iZombie roundtables!

What Is the Connection Between Lady Eve and Gambi on 'Black Lightning'? Just when it looked like Black Lightning was answering most of the questions about Gambi, the episode "Three Sevens: The Book of Thunder" threw another curveball. It now seems clear that Gambi and Tobias Whale's relationship is antagonistic, at best, and they're not working together. The same, however, can't be said of Gambi and the power behind Tobias, Lady Eve. Gambi might be truly loyal to Jefferson and his family but there's some history between him and Lady Eve.

Why Does 'This Is Us' Falter with the Big Three's Romantic Relationships?

Why Does 'This Is Us' Falter with the Big Three's Romantic Relationships? There's a lot of work to be done with Kevin, Kate and Randall and their relationships with each other, but they can't even catch a break with their partners. Somehow, Jack and Rebecca's relationship was so steady, secure and strong when they were 37, but Kate, Kevin and Randall's relationships don't work as well. Why is this? After all, Jack and Rebecca have one of the best relationships on television, so the writers should be capable of creating decent love stories for their children, too. This Is Us season 3 episode 16 basically blew up one relationship while showing what should've been one of the biggest moments for another.

The Resident Promo: Bring on the Daddy Issues!

The Resident gave us the best episode of the series so far on The Resident Season 1 Episode 5 with a seriously intense hour that left fans on the edge of their seats.

The ending, however, was a jaw-dropper. It turns out that the new investor that Bell and Claire met with, and who chose to invest in Lane's risque Oncology study, is none other than Conrad's father!

Conrad was very vague about his relationship with his father, but he made one thing abundantly clear: his father is not a good man.

The Resident Season 1 Episode 6 will have the two exchanging words after that cliffhanger that had the two coming face-to-face.

Conrad is usually confident and self-assured, but will the presence of his father have him rattled? It appears so.

Nic wants to be a support and talk things out with him, but once again, he shuts her down.

He's not ready to talk about his personal life or his apparent turbulent relationship with who he considers a terrible man, but he could also still be reeling and hurt after witnessing Nic and Jude leaving the hospital together.

He still has feelings for her, and he's clear about that, but she needs more than he's able to give her right now.

Conrad's dad has ulterior motives, of course. From the promo, he plans on opening up his own hospital and he wants Conrad to run it for him.

Something tells me that Conrad will decline, but his father won't just take no for an answer.

Lisa Rinna Is Happy Dorit Kemsley Took The Crown As The Pot Stirrer On Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Lisa Rinna Is Happy Dorit Kemsley Took The Crown As The Pot Stirrer On Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

Lisa Rinna Is Happy Dorit Kemsley Took The Crown As The Pot Stirrer On Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills; Has No Opinion On Teddi Mellencamp Joining The Show

This season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills started out with Lisa Rinna cleaning up her messes from last season. After her apology tour, Lisa got caught up channeling her inner Kris Jenner as the momager for her fashion model daughters and she has stayed out of the drama for the past few episodes.

She still managed to entertain when she had a few cocktails too many and kept asking “Camille, what’s the issue?” In Lisa’s absence, Dorit Kemsley has stepped up to stir the pot and that is just fine with Lisa.

Lisa was a guest on Watch What Happens Live last night, which usually means a lot of shade throwing, but Lisa was surprisingly tight-lipped. Andy Cohen asked, “Is Dorit a pot stirrer?” He also pointed out that it was “something that you’ve been called before.”

Lisa told him, “I’ve been called a pot stirrer for three years, so I’m actually happy to have lost that crown. So I say, stir away honey.” I can’t help but agree. Dorit’s pretentious comments and faux ignorance are keeping the show going at this point.

Andy asked Lisa to share her thoughts on the new Beverly Hills Housewife Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave. Before she had a chance to answer, Meghan McCain jumped in and declared, “I don’t like her. She’s so boring. Please stop hiring people who have famous last names and I say that as a woman with a famous last name.”

Lisa never responded to the question and she just took a long sip of her drink. So clearly she’s not Teddi’s biggest fan. Is there some drama in store for Lisa and Teddi later on in the season?

A viewer pointed out to Lisa that, “[Lisa] Vanderpump chooses a new person over Kyle [Richards] every season. Have you noticed that?” Lisa said, “I don’t know if I noticed it. I don’t know.” Really? What happened to the Lisa Rinna who threw delicious shade at Vanderpump whenever she had the chance. I’ve actually grown to love Lisa Rinna so I don’t want her getting in any “trouble,” but if she could just turn up the shade a teeny, tiny bit more, that would be my ideal situation.

Cable Ratings: The Walking Dead Returns Down, UnREAL Craters

The Walking Dead finally returned to the air on Sunday night for an emotional episode that said goodbye to a lead character.

The expanded episode secured 8.3 million viewers and a 3.6 rating among adults 18-49.

Aftermath

That figure is up marginally vs The Walking Dead Season 8's premiere, but it was disappointing considering it was such a highly promoted episode.

In addition, these figures also represent the show's lowest-rated midseason launch to date.

Have a look at the other midseason launches to see the results over the years:

TWD Carl

The show is slipping in the ratings, but it is still a hit.

Meanwhile, UnREAL returned to Lifetime on Monday night with just 252,000 viewers and a 0.08 rating among adults 18-49.

That's a weak result, but the show is already renewed for Season 4, so fans should enjoy it while it lasts. It's not going to survive much longer with such woeful ratings.

Homeland is proving that it may be time to bring the show to a close. The latest episode secured 1.3 million viewers and a 0.3 rating in the demo.

'Criminal Minds': Why Barnes' Investigation Shouldn't End with Another Change for the BAU

'Criminal Minds': Why Barnes' Investigation Shouldn't End with Another Change for the BAU Criminal Minds has been through plenty of team losses and changes over the years, and it has just kicked off a storyline that could end with another -- but it shouldn't. While Barnes acted like it was just a standard review for the one year anniversary of Reid's arrest in Mexico that took Prentiss out of the field and put J.J. temporarily in charge, the Assistant Director revealed to Prentiss that they were really there to discuss the state of the BAU under her leadership.

But with Prentiss refusing to do anything but stand by her team and their actions and Barnes with her own motives and the power to do something, this wasn't going to go away so quickly, not even with Emily easily defending every "problem" Barnes brought up. Season 13 episode 14 ended with Prentiss suspended indefinitely.

Tom Sandoval Thinks Faith Stowers’ Claim That She Accidentally Recorded Jax Sandoval Is “Complete Bull Sh*t”

Tom Sandoval Thinks Faith Stowers’ Claim That She Accidentally Recorded Jax Sandoval Is “Complete Bull Sh*t”

Tom Sandoval Thinks Faith Stowers’ Claim That She Accidentally Recorded Jax Sandoval Is “Complete Bull Sh*t”

I feel like everyone needs a friend like Tom Sandoval. He will give you makeover if you need one and cry tears of joy on your behalf and use a puppy as a handkerchief. Sure, he’s a little outrageous with the hair-braider and the costume guy on hand, but there’s nothing wrong with being extra. It’s better to be extra than not enough.

And at least Tom is extra and not desperate. There is a major difference. Faith Stowers, now that’s another story. She used to hook up with Lisa Vanderpump’s son Max Todd. She got with Jax Taylor (while he was dating Brittany Cartwright) and recorded a conversation between the two of them. Faith even claimed to have feelings for Lala Kent. In short, this woman was doing whatever- and (allegedly) whomever-  she could to join this cast and she still couldn’t move past the back row in the Vanderpump Rules opening credits.

In an interview for the Reality Life With Kate Casey podcast, Tom said, “Faith, I started to notice that she was trying really hard to… I started to get a very inauthentic vibe from her. I remember one time the girls were just messing around. They all kissed each other or whatever and she’s like ‘I think I’m catching feelings’ and all this stuff. I started to catch this desperate sort of really trying….even this thing with Jax, she never really even talked to Jax that much previously. Now she’s trying to say she had feelings. She hooked up with Max which was like not her type. It just seemed really weird to me.” Weird, or just thirsty?

Recently Faith claimed that she accidentally recorded her conversation with Jax since she had the recorder on her phone while she was recording music. That sounds like a bold faced lie. Tom said, “Her story about recording Jax, I mean that’s complete bullshit. The audio file was sent to James, so when you send that audio file it says ‘sent from the iPhone’ and it hadn’t been edited. It had been and ‘I’m hitting record right then and there. You hear her hit ‘record’ and then she basically just starts interviewing Jax.”

Faith may have been an accepted (fringe) member of the circle at first, but Lala had a harder time gaining acceptance from the group. Tom shared, “As time went on, I started to get to know Lala more. She sort of dropped the sort of tough girl act a little bit and I started to like Lala a lot more. We got closer.”

One person who has been totally ostracized from the group- or at least the show- is Scheana Marie’s ex-husband Mike Shay. Tom admitted, “I talk to him still. He’s deep in the Valley a lot because he has a studio out there. He’s gone a lot, but if he’s in West Hollywood, he always hits me up or I’ll go meet up with him and we’ll kick it.”

Speaking of music, Kate Casey asked Tom, “Did you like that ‘Good as Gold’ song?” Tom told her, “I absolutely f**king hated it. I told [Scheana] to her face.” I’ll give Scheana this one, that actually is a very catchy song. Then again, she was listening to it by herself during the last episode, so maybe she doesn’t need a confidence boost from me.

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Recap: Today Is Not Kyle’s Day

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Recap: Today Is Not Kyle’s Day

Kyle Richards

Kyle Richards

Sigh. Does no one understand Kyle Richards? It is so hard to be Kyle Richards. She is the most loyalist, kindest, most sincerest, genuinest, funnest, friendest friend on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills but no one appreciates her. Especially not Lisa Vanderpump, who quite literally could hand Kyle her heart on a silver platter and Kyle would insist Lisa was lying while actually giving her a dog turd. OK maaaaaaybe that’s a bit dramatic, because LVP can also be frigid and oblige in her behavior but last night she really did, in her own way, hand Kyle her heart. Let’s see what Kyle does with it!

The ladies are still in NYC and Kyle continues to terrorize with her meltdowns. These people already have Kanye West and his fashions – don’t do this to him! On the way to the Malaaaaan Bretaaaawn show where Camille Grammer‘s daughter Mason is playing model for the day, no one spoke in the car. NO ONE. Even Lisa Rinna‘s mindless chatter couldn’t open the floodgates of argument.

Kyle, Lisa, and Dorit Kemsley were stone-faced and silent. Oh, had you forgotten? The night before there was a sobbing argument because Kyle called Dorit out for talking mad-crap LVP, and instead of LVP leaping in to also confront Dorit she said nothing. Naturally, in Kyle World, this means LVP doesn’t value her, their friendship, or the tireless efforts she has given to the cause. Also LVP cares about Dorit more, as evidenced by the fact that she offered take take a taxi back to the hotel with Dorit. I get it – Kyle finds out Dorit is trashing their friend additional times, other than the times they trash-talked her together – and to boot Dorit shared some personal and not so flattering things about Lisa –  but when Kyle tried to inch ahead as the TRUE FRIEND, LVP straddled the fence. Then while Kyle was squalling around NYC, showing her hurt off like a new Chanel bag, LVP ditched her for Dorit.

In Kyle’s mind LVP was probably leaving with Dorit so they could in turn trash-talk Kyle together, and Dorit could spin the story to her favor to form an alliance – similar to how Dorit handled ‘late-gate’, but perhaps LVP just wanted to confront Dorit in private?

Lisa Rinna on Threesomes

So, as Lipsa will explain in Chapter 10, paragraph 18, footnote 623: “Threesomes don’t work” Not in bed, and certainly not in a friendship – even if you aged 40, 50, maaaaaybe even 60. Someone will feel that the love is not being equally spread (pssst: That person will always and eternally be Kyle).

NYFW

Malan’s show, ironically, takes place on a naval ship, so it’s good to have that fortification just in case! Mason closes the show in a huge, beautifully painted ballgown. Camille’s reaction to her daughter’s accomplishment was so adorable. The ladies are all extremely supportive of Camille – especially LVP who praises Mason as “a perfect little lady,” thus dating herself about 100 years like a Victorian matron. Clearly modern feminism has not come to the Villa Rosa! Mason shoots Lisa a side-eye while politely saying thank you. Mason seems sweet, but something tells me she’s ‘A Camille’ underneath.

Lisa RInna needs to know whats going on

After the fashion show they return to the hotel in silence and Lipsa can’t take it. “Do I want to know what’s going on?” she asks the masses. “I have to know what’s going on.” So she puts on her fuzzy slippers and visits Kyle in her room where she is getting trussed up for the evening’s Kyle By 22,000 Kaftans (and now faux fur kaftans too) trunk show. Oh dear god – please keep Kyle away from ALL the clothes.

Kyle talks to Lisa Rinna

Kyle explains it pretty much as I did above, so no need to rehash, but she adds that for as much as she gives in her friendship with LVP, it never feels reciprocated, and she just doesn’t understand. Lipsa agrees that they have a weird friendship and encourages Kyle to follow her heart and stay assertive. Finally, FINALLY Lipsa will not fight this fight alone! Kyle also brought back-up in the form of Bethenny Frankel, who loves nothing better than tearing a fellow-successful woman down! (Feminism hasn’t come to Bravo, period – I don’t care what Lala Kent and Erika Jayne, dumpster sex goddess who ought to open an outpost behind SUR, say.)

Erika Jayne Glam

In fact, all the women have tales to tell while getting made-up. Erika is even having her arms and legs painted, and a hairpiece affixed to her head to create some sort of sex kitten vibe. There is a reason for Erika’s constant hair changes “You have to have depth,” she explains to Camille. So, Erika and Kim Zolciak, with their arsenal of ever-changing blonde wigs, have depth. Good to know.

The only person who goes to the event with Kyle is Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave because everyone else is taking so long getting ready. Well everyone except Dorit, who got dressed as an 80’s S&M hooker in 5 seconds flat (we could tell!) with plenty of time to invite herself to LVP’s room to ‘talk’. Dorit denies that she said most of those horrible things about LVP, and then argued that Kyle had no right to complain about her behavior because she also was complaining about LVP.

Dorit is schooled by Lisa Vanderpump

LVP is not impressed and rebuttals that she’s basically friends with Dorit because she loves PK, a decades-long friend and part of a larger extended friend group, which she will not sacrifice for Dorit’s BS. Basically Dorit will not become Yolanda Foster 2.0. I’m proud of LVP for telling Dorit straight that it doesn’t matter WHAT Kyle was saying, because Dorit was complicit! Dorit, despite being offended that she’s not LVP’s BFF, takes it as a sign that at least LVP loves her more than she loves Kyle, then makes her promise that from now on if anyone is accusing her of something, LVP will ask her about it first.

Because of this talk everyone is so late to Kyle’s event she actually frets that no one will show up. But finally Bethenny arrived, followed by everyone else. So the drama can commence! Now you know Bethenny came to this thing for one reason, and one reason only – and that reason wasn’t to wear flesh-colored pants so we’d all have a moment of ‘WAIT – did she forget her pants?! That reason was to have a go at LVP.

Bethenny confronts Lisa Vanderpump

Bethenny accuses LVP of treating Kyle’s friendship with a “thunk you’ – essentially a thank you but f–k you cause I don’t really care, and suggests she chose Dorit’s fake British accent over Kyle’s feelings. LVP jokingly tells Bethenny to stay out of it as she explains how she loves Dorit and Kyle differently and for different reasons, and that is OK. Kyle and Bethenny’s friendship harkens back to a time before they had plastic surgery, and what Bethenny did was subtly reinforce her seniority while also demonstrating, albeit covertly, what it looks like to defend one friend to another fiend. She did it well – well a teasing aplomb that was almost imperceptibly a snub. But Bethenny has her ways of being a friend, and LVP has her own. Like she bought an extremely expensive red faux fur coat to support Kyle’s store and laughed aside Bethenny’s comments.

Later, while Dorit is trying to get her grubby little hands on LVP’s red coat, Kyle sidles over for a chat. These two do a little dance of revisionist history where they both pretend they didn’t throw the other under the bus. Now that LVP has made it clear that both her friends are her friends to stay, they decide to let go of the she-said/she-said; it’s your fault. Hey that works for me! This conversation actually seemed sincere, I mean for Real Housewives, and it’s so nice to see a storyline PROGRESS, instead of dragging out episode over episode into no resolution. However, I think the reason is because these women are actually friends, so instead of wanting to fight they want to do the drama and be done. Although Dorit is one crafty MF-er and if I were Kyle I wouldn’t trust her!

Basically Kyle spends her entire party going around the room talking about one friend to another, because she also finds Lipsa to proclaim that she won’t be pushed around by LVP anymore – she’s demanding equality! Maybe feminism is slowly eking it’s way under the kaftan? Kyle’s awakening is a hallelujah moment for Lipsa.

Teddi gives Lisa Vanderpump advice about Kyle

Back in LA, Teddi comes to Villa Rosa for tea and looks very cute. LVP is trying to dismantle how NYC became such a disaster and Teddi thinks that perhaps LVP should just apologize to Kyle for hurting her feelings. “Don’t make this about Dorit. Make this about Kyle,” she explains. You know I like this Teddi. She is honest and no drama, and she also gets it. She understands that Kyle needs affirmations and Dorit needs to feel important to every circumstance. Teddi also points out that anyone who is friends with Dorit basically should expect to be talked about. This doesn’t make Dorit a bad person, necessarily, but she just loves to be in the center of it all and consequences be damned! After considering it, and gagging on Teddi’s suggestion like too-hot tea, LVP decides to meet Kyle for dinner. Let’s give this lady a cookie for learning to say “I’m sorry!”

Lisa Vanderpump apologizes to Kyle

Obviously they have to meet at one of LVP’s restaurants (thankfully not SUR), and over rosé in a WATER GLASS – gasp, don’t tell Dorit! – LVP apologizes. Simply and sincerely. Of course Kyle being Kyle she has to still rehash all the ways LVP hurt her and explain, again, why she needs MORE love from Lisa. But Lisa shone here. She explained that her friendship with Kyle goes back longer and deeper, and is like the good quality sex with someone you adore, whereas Dorit is a fling on a group vacation where you go along to get along. That is quite possibly the weirdest and worst (re: most disgusting) analogy I have ever made concerning a Real Housewives feud but I’m going along with it, just like LVP is going along with appeasing Kyle and Dorit.

Kyle

Even though, as LVP points out, SHE was the one whose friends trash-talked her, called her names, and impugned her character – so why is SHE doing all the apologizing?! Sometimes it doesn’t pay to be the bigger person, I guess. I do think Kyle is a good friend underneath all her insecurities and neediness and jealousy. Dorit on the other hand…

Honestly the best part of the episode was hearing Erika tell Bethenny that she is writing a book about her “philosophy” and Bethenny’s attempt to keep a straight face. Ah, the Erika Jayne, philosophy. Could it be: Marry rich and become so bored you create an alter-ego who caterwauls around in sexbot costumes, attended to by an army of glam squad guys. Well, OK!
