Roseanne: Renewed for Season 11 at ABC!

May the revival craze continue!

ABC has confirmed that Roseanne will return to the network for Season 11 during the 2018-2019.

The news comes on the heels of Roseanne Season 10 debuting with 18.2 million viewers and a 5.2 rating in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic.

With just one day of DVR factored in those numbers surged to 21.9 million viewers and a 6.2 rating. It turns out; people really missed Roseanne.

“We’re thrilled that America has welcomed the Conner family back into their homes,” ABC entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement.

“The show is as fresh and relevant today as it was when it left the air 21 years ago. We can’t wait to see what the Roseanne team has in store for next year.”

The order is for 13 episodes, but given that the stars are probably looking to continue with other commitments in addition to Roseanne, that order will likely remain at 13.

For comparison purposes, Roseanne Season 10 will span ten episodes.

Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman, and Sarah Chalke are all expected to return for the new season.

It's unclear at this if the renewal will affect Emma Kenney's role on Showtime's Shameless. She has played the series regular role of Debbie Gallagher since the series' inception in 2011.

The return of Roseanne on Tuesday also provided a halo effect for the rest of ABC's Tuesday line-up. Black-ish surged 140 percent, while For The People added 50 percent to its demo tally.

The CW Moves 'The Originals' Final Season to Wednesdays

The CW is tweaking its spring schedule and now fans will get to see the final season of The Originals a bit earlier. The Vampire Diaries spin-off has been moved from Fridays to Wednesdays and will now premiere Wednesday, April 18 at 9/8c following Riverdale.
