American Idol has not been the big performer in the ratings ABC was probably hoping for.
There was some good news for the show on Sunday night. It secured 8 million viewers and a 1.8 rating, which is the show's second-highest ratings since moving to ABC.
With a stronger lead-in, Deception swelled 33 percent to 3.7 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.
