Did 'NCIS: Los Angeles' Just Introduce the Case That Will Save the Team from Mosley's Plan?

Did 'NCIS: Los Angeles' Just Introduce the Case That Will Save the Team from Mosley's Plan? NCIS: Los Angeles has been teasing us with a mystery surrounding Mosley's son for most of the season, and in "The Monster," not only did we finally find out what happened to him, but also a way for the team to win over the executive assistant director. Just as Criminal Minds showed with Barnes, all it takes is the right case involving the right person (in that instance, saving a senator's daughter) to keep a team together. For this team, that case may be reuniting Mosley with her son.

Rather than share everything Callen should have known about her past with the international arms dealer, Spencer Williams, who was one of the targets of a joint ATF operation, Mosley only told him they were in a relationship before she knew about his arms trafficking. The two agencies' different missions resulted in Williams escaping, and Mosley got a lesson in trusting her team from Hetty. Once she opened up to Callen, however, Mosley gained an ally in achieving her true objective with Williams: finding out where her son is.
