Why Barry Should Have the Option of Returning to Work at the CCPD in 'The Flash' Season 4

The same reasoning that helped free Barry from prison is being used to keep him from returning to the CCPD on The Flash right now: they live in a city full of metahumans. While Cecile used that to argue that it wasn't so crazy that DeVoe was alive when Ralph posed as him for the court, Singh explained that's why some people don't buy it's DeVoe.

The mayor requested that Singh have Barry take a leave of absence in "Subject 9," and his captain told him he thought he'd be able to return "when everyone believes DeVoe is really alive and well." To that end, Ralph has continued to impersonate DeVoe, including going to sit down with the mayor at the end of the latest episode, "Run, Iris, Run."
