Roseanne returned to the air last night, and the premiere dominated the TV landscape.
It secured 18.2 million viewers and a 5.1 rating among adults 18-49. That marks the season's biggest launch in the ratings.
That lead-in helped Black-ish (8.7 million/2.6 rating) build to multi-year highs, while the series debit of Splitting Up Together (7.2 million/2.2 rating) also got a solid result.
Meanwhile, For The People (3.6 million viewers/0.9 rating) built to a series high.
NBC: The Voice (8.9 million viewers/1.6 rating), Rise (4.5 million/0.8 rating) and Chicago Med (5.8 million/1.0 rating) all lost some steam opposite the increased competition.
CBS: NCIS (11.8 million/1.3 rating), Bull (10.7 million/1.2 rating) and NCIS: New Orleans (8.6 million/0.9 rating) were all on par with their season averages.
Fox: LA to Vegas (2 million/0.6 rating) and The Mick (1.8 million/0.6 rating) were in line with recent results.
The CW: Black Lightning (1.5 million/0.5 rating) was steady.
