Despite all the talk about
The Walking Dead going downhill, it seems there's still plenty of light at the end of the tunnel. Scott M. Gimple, who joined the AMC series in season 2 and stepped up as a showrunner for season 4, will be filling in a new position at the network to help expand the zombie apocalypse world. As chief content officer of
The Walking Dead, he will basically oversee everything, including executive producer duties on
Fear the Walking Dead, gaming and future brand extensions on a variety of platforms and possibly working on other spin-offs. Needless to say, big things are in store for the zombie drama franchise.
