Tonight was the annual 2018 MET gala, otherwise known as Andy Cohen‘s favorite night of the year! As per usual, Sarah Jessica Parker took him along as her plus one. The theme this year was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination.

Kim Kardashian West went solo since Kayne has fled back to the mountains again. I figured she’d do a little “more” but this dress looks like something she’d wear on a typical Starbucks run. Okay, maybe not Starbucks, but it feels like every other red carpet look we’ve seen on her.

Kim‘s sisters, Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner were also in attendance – as well as mom Kris Jenner.

The Hadid sisters were also there, naturally. As was American Idol‘s Katy Perry. Check out the photos in the gallery below!

It looks like things are getting serious between Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder and her new boyfriend Beau Clark. They’ve checked international travel off the list of relationship milestones.

The two of them enjoyed a trip to Italy which included stops in Milan, Verona, Portofino, Desenzano del Garda, and Sirmione.

Both Stassi and Beau shared photos from the trip and some hilarious captions. Stassi explored a cemetery- which is a #TotalStassiMove for sure. They showed off their love with some PDA. They wore coordinating message t-shirts. The word “love” was even used in a photo. Patrick, who?

Even though this is a relatively new relationship, the two of them are clearly going strong. With that said, will we see Beau on the next season of Vanderpump Rules? As of this moment, it’s unclear, but at least the fans can see Stassi and Beau’s relationship on Instagram for the time being.

Check out the pictures from Stassi and Beau’s Italy trip by clicking through the photo gallery below.

General Hospital Review: One Way or Another

How long will it be until someone figures out Peter August's big secret?

This week on General Hospital, the answer seemed to be "soon... like, really soon."

Valentin and Peter — General Hospital

Over the course of these past few months, multiple groups have inched closer to tracking down Henrik Faison. At this point, even Valentin is actively warning Peter that his days of remaining hidden are numbered.

Peter is really better off coming clean, owning up to everything, and hoping for the best (aka, not getting murdered by Jason).

I'm getting antsy waiting for this all to blow up in Peter's face, because I think the fallout has the potential to be amazing soap. Not so much because of Peter himself, but because of everyone else involved.

Valentin's Secret — General Hospital

When the truth about Peter's identity comes out, eventually Port Charles will find out that Griffin knew and kept it a secret. Valentin was even more directly involved in the cover-up.

And, of course, there's the matter of Anna being Henrik/Peter's mom.

I absolutely loved every single Robert/Anna scene this past week. The two have amazing chemistry that remains as strong as ever.

Anna's Son — General Hospital

Robert's reaction to the news that Anna is Henrik's mom was perfect. He was shocked, but not judgmental. He immediately moved towards supporting her and helping her figure out the best course of action.

Unfortunately, Robert's involvement has landed him in hot water. The last we saw of him on Friday, he was on a plane and had just been drugged by Valentin.

Robert — General Hospital

That fake-out at the end of Wednesday – when Anna announced to Jason that "Henrik's mother is right here" – really got me.

It was such a classic soap end-of-the-episode fake-out. For a second, I really thought Anna was coming clean and telling Jason the truth. I got excited.

Related: Get CBS All Access via Prime Video Channels for Hit Shows, Exclusive Originals & Live TV!

In reality, Anna was making the situation even more complicated, by setting in motion a plan in which she'd lie about lying about being Henrik's mom. Confusing, right? That's pretty much guaranteed to backfire on her.

Also, Anna is fooling herself if she really thinks she can stop Jason from killing Henrik if that's what he decides he wants to do.

This is Jason we're talking about. He's not big on mercy or forgiveness.

Jason — General Hospital

Speaking of people Jason is not willing to forgive...

Liz and Franco finally returned to our screens after quite a number of days absent.

Their scenes on Thursday were brief but very sweet.

Becky and Roger have great chemistry. It's just a shame they're stuck in this rut, all because the writers are doing backflips trying to explain away all of Franco's past misdeeds.

Franco's redemption has been, pardon my French, a clusterf*ck, but the writers are too deep in it now to do anything else. They've got to see this through, and I guess they're handling it as well as they can.

Franco's Closure — General Hospital

Franco has been keeping busy helping the kids with his art therapy and reaching out to Harvey's other victims to help them find closure. I'm intrigued to see what this Steven person wants and why he's asking to meet up.

There was also the Sonny/Ava debacle to contend with.

Related: Get PBS Masterpiece via Prime Video Channels for World-Class British Dramas & Award-Winning Series

After Mike and Avery were found safe and sound at the end of the previous week, it was obvious that Ava would use the situation to her advantage, regardless of being cruel to an old man with Alzheimer's.

Listen. I'm no Sonny apologist here. It certainly irks me when the writers have characters virtually ignore his and Carly's many misdeeds. But objectively, what Ava did was awful.

Sonny vs. Ava — General Hospital

Ava lost custody of Avery for legitimate reasons. This wasn't a situation where CarSon manipulated the system to claim Avery for their own. It was Ava's own fault.

Furthermore, Ava proved that she wasn't actually concerned about Avery's safety in this situation.

Related: General Hospital Review: Lost and Found

When she agreed to joint custody, that much became clear – because if she really believed that Avery living with Mike put her in danger, she'd have pushed to keep the two of them apart completely.

By agreeing to split custody, Ava confirmed that she was just looking out for her own interests.

Ava was also a total idiot when she lied to Griffin about the circumstances of the custody agreement.

Ava's Lie — General Hospital

Why on earth did Ava think Griffin wouldn't find out from Sonny or Carly what Ava had really done?

Their confrontation was fantastic, with really strong work from both Maura and Matt. Like I've said before, I don't particularly have strong feelings either way about this pairing – but they knocked it out of the park after Griffin called Ava out for her duplicity.

Related: Get Hallmark Movies Now via Prime Video Channels for Stories with Heart, Captivating Movies & More!

Interestingly, and kind of annoyingly, the argument went nowhere at all.

Ava was unapologetic, and Griffin just sort of... cooled down and let it go. It was weird, wasn't it? That scene had such a strong start and then just sort of fizzled out with an "OK, guess I'll see you at home later."

Finally, there was the matter of Nelle vs. the Corinthos family.

Nelle the Schemer — General Hospital

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Chloe Lanier is great, and the writers are squandering her talent if they have her go too far off the deep end, past the point of no return.

In fact, Chloe recently won the Daytime Emmy for Best Younger Actress.

Related: General Hospital Review: An Unexpected Visitor

For that reason, I'm really hoping that Nelle stops her scheme to drive Carly crazy before it's too late and there are lasting consequences. Right now, they're sending her down the same road they sent Lisa Niles all those years ago.

Lisa Niles wasn't any great loss, but I'd actually be sad to see Nelle get killed off.

View Slideshow: 17 Most Unstable Characters of All Time

A soap villain attempting to convince his or her enemy that they're crazy is a trope as old as time. It's still silly that Carly (or anyone) hasn't considered the fact that it could be Nelle, a known manipulator, messing with her.

But I can forgive it because of Laura Wright's performance.

Laura is really amazing. I love the way this storyline is resurfacing Carly's grief over losing Morgan in a very real and organic way. It's been over a year since his death, but it's still fresh for her, in the same way it would be fresh for a grieving mom in real life.

I'd be shocked if this storyline and its eventual (hopefully soon) resolution doesn't earn Laura an Emmy next year.

Other Thoughts:

  • I'm sorry, but I truly could not care less about Jordan and Curtis' potential engagement. I like Curtis just fine with everyone else, but those two have very little chemistry in my eyes.
  • That said, I cannot even with Aunt Stella's objection to the possible marriage. She is completely insufferable, except when she's supporting Mike's family through his Alzheimer's journey.
  • This whole thing with Finn and Chase is definitely helping me feel sympathy for Chase but it's also making me dislike Finn. I'm sure they'll resolve their differences soon enough, but for now, it's bringing out all the worst in Finn.
  • But speaking of Chase: I've noticed some of the GH fandom is jonesing for a Chase/Kiki pairing. Let's get them in a scene together asap and see how that goes!
  • Ava inadvertently used Nelle's disappearing ink pen when writing her donation check for the Nurse's Ball. It's interesting that Ava will potentially be Nelle's downfall.
  • Dr. Bensch is so, so sketchy. I'm glad that Griffin apparently is catching on to that fact. Hopefully he'll help Kiki extract herself from this terrible situation.
  • Are the writers planning to give Josslyn a personality outside of "mini-Carly" at any point? I hope so.
  • Elizabeth Hendrickson is joining GH as a new character! I'm really excited about this news. I loved her characters on All My Children and The Young and the Restless. I thought she had particularly great chemistry with Billy Miller back when he was on Y&R, so I hope they get a chance to work together again. Drew needs a distraction from Sam.

Karen Huger Admits Ray Huger Told Her About Tax Debt; Karen & Candiace Dillard Doubt Ashley Darby & Gizelle Bryant’s Friendship

At this point, the Real Housewives of Potomac fans should not expect to get a straight answer from Karen Huger about her previous knowledge of Ray Huger’s tax problems. She has been talking in circles and deflecting all season and she did the same thing during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live last night with Candiace Dillard.

She continued to play up the Grand Dame of Potomac persona and give confusing answers to almost every question that Andy Cohen asked her.

Andy asked, “Did you really not know about Ray’s tax issues?” As per usual, Karen said, “I really did not know, but let’s keep it real ladies.” And then she gave the most confusing follow-up to her initial reply: “Andy, did you ever lay on the pillow for twenty years with the same man? He did mention to me and I didn’t remember because he didn’t hold a press conference with me and he certainly didn’t hold a conversation. He said, ‘I’m handling it,’ but I want to thank you. You made me a better listener as a wife. That’s why he’s still sitting at the front of the audience with me.” So she knew about it, but she also did not know? How does that make any sense? At all.

Andy continued with the hard hitting questions: “Why don’t you and Ray file your taxes together after 21 years of marriage.” One again, Karen didn’t really answer the question. She just told him, “Choice, honey. Choice. Look at me. I don’t blame Ray for not putting me on his checking account. You know me better, baby. I spend a lot of money.” Alright then…

Andy wasn’t done though. He told Karen, “You said Ray has settled on a deal. It’s all done?” Karen said, “Look. This is a business issue. Ray has handled it. It’s in our rear view mirror. I feel fabulous. I’ve moved on. We’re in a great place. We’re good?”

Andy concluded, “You say you didn’t sell your house for less than its listing price because of back taxes. Is that true?” Karen started to say, “I didn’t” before a long pause. She added, “My husband orchestrated it, yes. So I don’t really know what it sold for, but we were happy.” She has no idea how much her house sold for? Really?

Then the conversation turned to the last RHOP episode. Andy asked, “Candiace, were you surprised by the friction you had on the trip tonight? I wasn’t surprised because old bitches are going to scream. They’re going to holler. That’s what they do. I was ready though.”

Andy also asked Candiace about her openness regarding her man Chris Bassett’s penis color (yes, that’s actually a story line this season). Candiace shared, “He’s used to extraness that is Candiace, so it’s just par for the course. He got over it.

Andy asked Karen, “Do you think Gizelle [Bryant] did the t-shirt thing to be nasty or do you see any humor in that? She’s got issues. She’s like Chuckie in drag: running around with a butcher knife, ready to stab everyone she calls a friend in the back. My thing about Gizelle is that we share a unique relationship. Do I love her? No. Do I like her? Yes. Is she in time out? Absolutely.” I think she got a little mixed up there. Wouldn’t it make more sense for Karen to say that she “loves” Gizelle, but doesn’t “like” her instead of the opposite? Candiace chimed in with “She’s got too much time on her hands. She’s bored.”

The Potomac Housewives gave Candiace a lot of shit for letting her mother pay for some of her things, but Candiace made it clear that she really doesn’t regret being so open with her costars. Candiace said, “I don’t because that’s my truth and I live in that. Familial wealth, that’s family wealth. I don’t regret or not want to acknowledge what my mother has done to me because it is what it is.”

Andy called out Karen for her press conference (without the press). He asked, “Can you see, watching the press conference, how it seemed that you didn’t want to answer the questions?” Karen admitted, “In hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have done the press conference, but it was supposed to be humorous and I did get what I wanted. I threw this press conference to press the hell out of these women to see who really was my friend. Quite honestly, everyone had a question mark over them after this press conference. So, I’m happy I can live in my truth.”

A caller asked Karen, “Do you think Robyn [Dixon] is looking for love in all the wrong places with Juan [Dixon]?” Karen confessed, “You know what, I’ve actually told Robyn this and now I’m going to tell the world this: I like Juan better than I like Robyn. OK? Period. So, I wish them well, but that is my truth. I can’t. I’d be biased, Andy.”

Andy asked, “What do you think about Gizelle and Ashley’s [Darby] new friendship?” Karen gagged and stuck out her tonge before she answered, “I wish them well, but I don’t believe in it.” Cnadiace added, “It’s foolishness.”

A fan asked Candiace, “Why did you say anything to Charrisse [Jackson-Jordan] right away when she made that comment about your mom? Because my mother told me to respect my elders and I wanted to be respectful in the moment.”

Andy clapped back with, “I must say, you’re doing a lot of age shaming.” Candiace explained, “Well, they started it.” Karen added, “Return the serve, Andy.”

Andy asked, “Why did you let Charrisse’s comments get so under your screen when it was clear she was joking?” Candiace explained, “Well, they didn’t ‘get under my skin’ so to speak. It was more so, I needed to establish boundaries early in the relationship and I felt like she was overreaching and I needed to let her know right away ‘madame bitch, sit down.'”

Then Candiace and Karen were asked about Ashley‘s reluctance to cut off her mother financially. Candiace admitted, “It’s very hard. And Having known Ashley before, it’s hard to watch and I try to give her advice and I just… I don’t know. I do think she needs to create boundaries with her mom, but it’s hard because that’s her husband. So, I don’t know.”

Karen shared, “I told Ashley, look, Michael [Darby] has been doing a lot of extra and she needs to meet him halfway. I even told her, I said ‘Slide some money under the table to your mother,’ but she said she did that and she got caught. My thing is it it is and it’s a very difficult situation. I wouldn’t want to touch it with a ten foot pole. Marriage is difficult enough and to be put into this situation , my heart- I can’t believe I’m saying this- goes out to Ashley.”

Nevertheless, Karen is not pleased with Ashley and her on-camera interview comments this season. Karen admitted, “I’m watching with the viewers and I’m just shocked.” That’s what the reunion is for. She can address that (and everything else that went down this season) then.

The Resident: Renewed for Season 2 at Fox!

There is good news for fans of the Matt Czuchry starring ensemble drama about a hospital with more than its share of problems.

The Resident Season 2 is on its way!

With the many changes that could be afloat given the impending Disney merger, that's a significant boost of confidence for the series that was critically panned, but currently number three on the Fox schedule after only 9-1-1 and Empire.

What Do We Have? - The Resident Season 1 Episode 4

The Resident is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The series’ executive producers include Todd Harthan, Amy Holden Jones, Rob Corn (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Antoine Fuqua, David Boorstein, Oly Obst, and Phillip Noyce, who also directed the pilot.

The series stars Matt Czuchry Bruce Greenwood, Manish Dayal, Emily VanCamp, Moran Atias, Merrin Dungey, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Melina Kanakaredes.

Related: The Resident Photo Preview: Time is Running Out!

“Amy, Todd and all the producers on The Resident set out to create a medical show that viewers haven’t seen before – to peel back the curtain and reveal the truth of what happens, both good and bad, behind the scenes at hospitals across the country. Clearly, they’ve succeeded,” said Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.

“Matt, Emily, Bruce, Manish, Shaunette and the show’s entire cast have turned in consistently heartfelt performances, and we are so excited to go back to Chastain Memorial for another tremendous season.”

Things to Discuss - The Resident Season 1 Episode 10

The Resident joins other Fox freshman shows already renewed including 9-1-1, The Orville, and The Gifted.

Empire has also received a renewal for another season as has long-running The Simpsons. With Thursdays going to NFL Football in the fall, that leaves less room for pickups and further renewals that include the following bubble series:

Bob's Burgers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Exorcist, Family Guy, Gotham, Last Man on Earth, Lethal Weapon, The Mick, Star, Ghosted and LA to Vegas.
